Funding and Scholarships
What does the program cost?
The CRTP tuition is $7,950.00
If you do not have the financial resources to pay for the program yourself, you may qualify for funding for tuition and living expenses from Alberta Works if you:
- are currently on Employment Insurance (EI) or
- are an Income Support recipient or other low income Albertan or
- have received EI benefits in the past three years or
- have received EI for maternity or parental benefits in the past five years
Your application for funding cannot be submitted until you have been accepted into the program, so please apply to the Corporate Readiness Training Program as soon as possible. If you may be eligible for funding allowances, the application process takes four to six weeks.
If you are not eligible for Alberta Works funding, you may qualify for:
- Special funding through Alberta Employment Immigration and Industry that will cover the cost of tuition for those eligible
- Other Scholarships such as the The TRICO Homes Scholarship which is awarded to applicants who demonstrate a positive attitude and wish to enter their professional field here in Canada.
- Low interest loans for immigrants through the Immigrant Access Fund at Momentum

TRICO Homes
The TRICO Homes Scholarship has been awarded to 6 CRTP students since 2007. This is awarded to students who are pursuing a professional career in Canada and demonstrate initiative and determination to persue their career goals.
Jacqueline and Desmond Lai Award
The Jaquiline and Desmond Lai Award is given to students who must travel outside the Calgary Metropolitian Area in order to complete their work experience placement.
Without this support these students would not have been able to take advantage of the opportunities presented to them through the CRTP program.
