  • Extensive years of experience as gas plant operations specialist and a registered CRSP, ASET & ABSA power engineer (ASET #:126184 & ABSA #A-75474 ) specializing in operations readiness and assurance, commissioning & start-ups, shutdowns, incident investigation, pre-incident planning, production optimization, pre-startup safety review, work hazard & process safety management, procedure audit & writing, DCS operation, Process engineering flow scheme (P&ID), critical overrides and alarm management.
  • Led, planned & executed all critical plant activities in line with approved strategies, procedures & work instructions.
  • Authorized all safety critical works for all routine, non-routines and project activities ensuring full compliance through the integrated safe system of work and by conducting regular field audits.
  • Performed first line abnormal situation management to restore control in the safest and shortest possible time, minimizing plant process disruptions, investigated all incidents & documented action plans against future incidents.
  • Constantly monitored plant operating parameters from field and control room using various tools as Field Advisor, Otter, SMOC, PI, DCS trends, D&R, for quick resolution to abnormal situations, continuous improvement, quality assurance, production optimization & for compliance with quality, energy & environmental management standards.
  • Managed and oversaw operational safety critical systems such as overrides & inhibits, isolations, locked open and closed valves and the overall aspect of control room activities that affected plant performance.
  • Commissioned and started up 6 LNG trains with 22mpta, 5mpta of NGL fractionation plant, a business with annual turnover of CAD$8B+ that produced 8% of the world’s LNG and contributed to circa 7% of Nigeria's GDP.
  • Participated in the saving of over $200M partly by developing a meticulous and structured operations excellence approach to reduce number of unscheduled downtimes from 30+/year to less than 24/year.
