NEW LINC Work Readiness Program

Pathway to Employment for LINC students

We are pleased to announce a new program to help LINC students move from language training into employment in Calgary. Starting in July 2019, we will be offering a program, funded by IRC, that will include 8 weeks of classroom training and 8 weeks of work experience. Registration for this program is now open.

To apply for this program, you need to qualify for LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada).

Admission requirements:

  • Be a minimum of 18 years old
  • Open to permanent residents and convention refugees
  • Be available to work immediately
  • CLB placement test results of level 5 or higher
  • Open to southern Alberta residents (outside of Calgary) who are unable to attend LINC classes in person

If you are a LINC student to apply you will need;

1. A completed application form (Bow Valley College LINC students will only be required to submit the application)

2. Photo ID - PR card or driver's license

3. Your immigration papers - Confirmation of Permanent Residence

4. Your recent Canadian Language Benchmarks results
